Light   -   Stability   -   Life

Welcome to Berg-Op Academy

Our school is a private school situated in Okahandja, Namibia. Using Biblical values and principles as a basis, the vision of our school is to equip our learners with stability in their lives. Our school strives towards guiding our learners with discipline within a happy school environment. We educate the learners in our school with the goal of becoming responsible, independent, balanced adults in the community of Okahandja, and beyond. The school is a parent controlled educational institution and is registered at the Ministry Of Education, Sport and Culture since 2008. Our school is registered to teach from grade 1 to grade 12 and we follow the Namibian Curriculum. The main purpose of our school is to promote and provide high quality education within a Christian ethos by means of Afrikaans as medium of instruction from grade 1 to grade 3 and English as medium of instruction from grade 4 to grade 12. Everything done at our school, is done in the best interest of each of the learners at our school.

Our school achieves this goal by offering the following:

  • competent teachers
  • Afrikaans and English as medium of instruction with German as third language
  • a Christian foundation
  • an internationally recognised school certificate
  • modern teaching methods
  • sport and cultural activities (up to and including national and international level)
  • effective management
  • individual attention

The learners of our school take part in sport and culture on a national and international level.

Our school has six archers in the national team (National Archery in the School Program) that have represented Namibia in previous World Championships and will again be representing Namibia in the upcoming World Championships in the USA later this year.

Our school has also had representatives in the national angling LBT team, as well as the national athletics team.

Each year our school sends representatives to the Annual General Meeting of the ATKV (Afrikaanse Taal- en Kultuurvereniging) in South Africa.
